Who we are

Hi, I’m Maryann—founder of Peak Mind and Muscle. I’m a certified personal trainer (NASM) with a Master’s degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation, but more than that—I’m someone who’s been where you are.

Since 2017, I’ve lost over 100 pounds and completely reshaped my relationship with fitness. My journey has taken me through strength training, ultra-distance running, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and the everyday adventure of raising two amazing kids. Along the way, I’ve gained valuable insight into how to support weight loss while preserving muscle—especially for those navigating medically supported approaches.

I started Peak Mind and Muscle to help others feel strong, capable, and supported—no matter where they’re starting. Whether you’re here for weight loss, strength, or simply to feel more at home in your body, I’m here to help guide that journey with science-backed plans and real-life empathy.
